Level of knowledge and self-care capacity in patients with diabetic nephropathy at the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren national hospital, 2021

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the capacity for self-care in a patient with diabetic nephropathy at the Alberto Sabogal hospital in 2021. Material and method: The research responds to the hypothetical deductive and analytical method, has a quantitative approach, and is applied , descriptive, the population that constitutes it makes a total of 60 users, who enter the nephrology service of the Alberto Sabogal Sologuren National Hospital, the survey technique was used, The instrument is the questionnaire on the level of knowledge, which was submitted to expert judgment, which includes personal data, instructions, questions that make references to the four dimensions of the study work, reliability was found by applying the Kuder Richardson coefficient” ( K), obtaining a value of 0.86 which indicated excellent reliability. The second instrument used was the ASA Scale (Self-Care Agency Appreciation), which is based on “Dorothea Orem's Self-Care Theory, which determines the level of self-care capacity; reliability was found through the Alpha coefficient. Cronbach's test, obtaining a value of 0.76, which is why the instrument is reliable.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la capacidad de autocuidado en paciente con nefropatía diabética en el hospital Alberto Sabogal en el año 2021. Material y método: La investigación responde al método hipotético deductivo y analítico, tiene enfoque cuantitativo, es aplicada, descriptiva, la población que lo constituye hacen un total de 60 usuarios, que ingresan al servicio de nefrología del Hospital Nacional Alberto Sabogal Sologuren, se utilizó la técnica de la encuesta, el instrumento es el cuestionario sobre nivel de conocimientos,el cual fue sometido a juicio de expertos, el que comprende datos personales, instrucciones, preguntas que hacen referencias a las cuatro dimensiones del trabajo de estudio, se encontró confiabilidad aplicando el coeficiente Kuder Richardson” (K), obteniendo un valor de 0,86 el que indicó excelente confiabilidad. El segundo instrumento empleado fue la Escala ASA (Apreciación de Agencia de Autocuidado), el cual tiene como base a la “Teoría de autocuidado de Dorothea Orem, el cual determina el nivel de la capacidad de autocuidado, se encontró confiabilidad a través del coeficiente Alfa de Cronbach, obteniendo un valor de 0.76, por ello que el instrumento es confiable.
