Effect of a cardiorespiratory program on exercise tolerance in people with cardiovascular risk factors, Honorio Delgado Hospital Arequipa-2023

Abstract

The study will examine the effect of a cardiopulmonary program on exercise tolerance in people with cardiovascular risk factors at the Arequipa hospital. The cardiopulmonary program will be applied to individuals with cardiovascular risk, aiming to demonstrate that this is the most suitable treatment. Objective: The general objective is "to determine the effect of the cardiopulmonary program on people with cardiovascular risk." Materials and Methods: The population will consist of patients with cardiovascular risk factors attending the Honorio Delgado Espinoza Regional Hospital in Arequipa from September to December 2023. The sample will consist of 98 patients, 49 of whom will make up the experimental group receiving the cardiopulmonary program, and 49 will be part of the control group receiving conventional therapy. The research method will be hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, applied type, longitudinal cut, and comparative level. The research design will be experimental with a quasi-experimental subdesign, including a control and experimental group.

La investigación estudiará el efecto de un programa cardiorrespiratorio sobre tolerancia al ejercicio en personas En personas con factores de riesgo cardiovascular en el hospital de Arequipa. Se aplicará el programa cardiorrespiratorio en personas con riesgo cardiovascular, buscando demostrar que este es el tratamiento más idóneo. Objetivo: El objetivo general es “determinar el efecto del programa cardiorrespiratorio en personas con riesgo cardiovascular”. Material y métodos: La población serán los pacientes con factores de riesgo cardiovascular que acudan al Hospital III Regional Honorio Delgado Espinoza de Arequipa, en el periodo de setiembre a diciembre del 2023. La muestra estará conformada por 98 pacientes, de los cuales 49 integrarán el grupo experimental que recibirán el programa cardiorrespiratorio y 49 el grupo control que recibirán terapia convencional. El método de investigación será hipotético –deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, de corte longitudinal, nivel comparativo. El diseño de investigación será experimental, con subdiseño cuasi experimental, con grupo control y grupo experimental.
