Quality of nursing care and satisfaction of older adults attending the Hospital Vitarte, Lima 2023

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between the quality of nursing care and satisfaction of the elderly who attend the Vitarte hospital, Lima 2023. Method: The methodology was hypothetical deductive, likewise, the approach was quantitative, applied, with a hypothetical method -deductive, correlational level and non-experimental design with cross-sectional data. To meet the established objectives, two Likert scale questionnaires were used as an instrument, one for quality of care and the other for satisfaction, both applied to a sample of 158 older adults from the Vitarte hospital. Results: In the descriptive analysis, 45.57% of the respondents affirm that the university students of said higher center, it was found that 42.50% of the respondents say that the level of quality in care is of a moderate level, while 36.71% affirm that is low and 17.72% is high. On the other hand, in terms of satisfaction, 50% of those surveyed affirm that it is average, while 28.48% say it is bad, but 21.52% say it is excellent. Regarding the correlational analysis, the technique correlates directly and significantly (r = 0.703, p-value < 0.05) with the satisfaction felt by the elderly patient, while the human dimension correlates significantly (r = 0.765, p-value < 0.05). p-value < 0.05), finally, the hospital environment is directly and significantly correlated (r = 0.867, p-value < 0.05) with the satisfaction felt by the elderly patient. Conclusions: There is a significant correlation between the quality of care and satisfaction of the elderly who attend the Vitarte hospital in the period 2023.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la calidad de atención de enfermería y satisfacción del adulto mayor que acude al hospital Vitarte, Lima 2023.Material y métodos: La metodología fue hipotética deductiva, asimismo, el enfoque fue el cuantitativo, de tipo aplicada, con un método hipotético-deductivo, de nivel correlacional y diseño no experimental con datos de corte transversal. Para cumplir con los objetivos trazados, tuvo como instrumento dos cuestionarios de escala Likert, uno para la calidad de atención y la otra para satisfacción, ambos aplicados a una muestra 158 adultos mayores del hospital Vitarte. En el análisis descriptivo, el 45.57% de los encuestados afirma que los universitarios de dicho centro superior, se encontró que 42.50% de los encuestados dice que el nivel de calidad en atención es de nivel moderado, mientras que el 36.71% afirma que es bajo y el 17.72% es alta. Por otro lado, en el nivel de satisfacción el 50% de los encuestados afirma que es regular, mientras que el 28.48% es mala, pero el 21.52% es excelente. En cuanto al análisis correlacional la técnica se correlaciona de manera directa y significativa (r = 0.703, p-valor < 0.05) con la satisfacción que siente el paciente adulto mayor, mientras la dimensión humana se correlaciona de manera y significativa (r = 0.765, p-valor < 0.05), por último, el ambiente del hospital se correlaciona de manera directa y significativa (r = 0.867, p-valor < 0.05) con la satisfacción que siente el paciente adulto mayor.
