Relationship between knowledge about cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the practice of nursing staff at a hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the relationship between knowledge of cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the practice by the nursing staff of a hospital in Lima, Peru, 2023. The methodology used will be basic, with a quantitative approach, from a nonexperimental - transversal design and descriptive-correlational scope. The population and sample will be made up of the same number of participants, that is, 80 health professionals belonging to the emergency department of the Hospital. Sampling is census. The technique to be used for the fieldwork will be the survey and the instruments will be closed quantitative questionnaires. One of them will be self-developed and the other will be an instrument previously applied by an international author and adapted to the needs of this scientific study. For both instruments, validation tests by expert judgment and statistical reliability will be presented.

El propósito del presente estudio será determinar la relación entre el conocimiento sobre reanimación cardiopulmonar y la práctica del personal enfermero de un Hospital de Lima, 2023. La metodología empleada será de tipo básica, con enfoque cuantitativo, desde un diseño no experimental – transversal y alcance descriptivo-correlacional. La población y muestra estarán conformadas por la misma cantidad de participantes, es decir, 80 profesionales de salud pertenecientes al servicio de emergencia del Nosocomio. El muestreo empleado fue censal. La técnica que se empleará para el trabajo en campo será la encuesta y los instrumentos serán cuestionarios cerrados cuantitativos. Uno de ellos, será de elaboración propia y el otro será un instrumento ya aplicado previamente por un autor internacional y adaptado a las necesidades del presente estudio científico. Para ambos instrumentos se presentarán pruebas de validación por juicio de 03 expertos y confiabilidad estadística.
