Anxiety and pain in the pediatric patient from 8 to 12 years of the emergency hospital of Villa El Salvador, lima - 2021

Abstract

The first thing that can be observed when a pediatric patient is admitted to the hospitalization area, whether coming from the operating room or the emergency department, is that anxiety is directly and significantly related to the intensity of the pediatric patient's pain. To measure this, two scales for assessing anxiety and pain were used. Based on these results, nursing interventions can be designed to help make the pediatric patient's hospital stay more pleasant and less traumatic.

Lo primero que se puede observar al ingresar a un paciente pediátrico, al área de hospitalización, ya sea providente de sala de operación o emergencias ,que la ansiedad está relacionada directamente y significativamente con la intensidad del dolor del paciente pediátrico, para ello se utilizó dos escalas de medición de la ansiedad y dolor y desde ahí podemos partir para realizar las intervenciones de enfermería y contribuir que la estancia hospitalaria sea más agradable y menos traumática del paciente pediátrico.
