Pain management of the post-surgical patient and satisfaction in nursing care in the surgical specialty’s services of the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, 2023

Abstract

The main objective of the research is to determine the relationship between pain management in post-surgical patients and satisfaction in nursing care in the surgical specialty services of the Hipólito Unanue-2023 National Hospital. The methodology used is the quantitative approach, it is of the applied type, correlational level, non-experimental design, the population will be made up of 100 post-surgical patients from the Hipólito Unanue National Hospital, the type of non-probabilistic sampling, sample size, will be made up of 100 post-operative patients. Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue, the measurement of the 2 variables will be carried out using the survey technique and the questionnaire instrument, for the first the Strategic and Clinical Quality Indicators in Post-operative Pain Management (SCQIPP) will be used. Before data collection through the application of the instruments, the information will be transferred to a spreadsheet of the Microsoft Excel program in order to carry out the statistical-descriptive processing and consequent tabulation of the results to facilitate its interpretation and understanding. Then, the data will be transferred and coded in the SPSS version 27 program in order to carry out the statistical-inferential treatment; beginning with the use of the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, due to the sample size. Thus, depending on whether the normal distribution is fulfilled in the data, the appropriate correlational test will be selected: Pearson's R (parametric) or Spearman's Rho (non-parametric).

La investigación tiene como objetivo principal, determinar la relación que existe entre el manejo del dolor del paciente post quirúrgico y la satisfacción en la atención del enfermero en los servicios de especialidades quirúrgicas del Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue 2023. La metodología empleada es el enfoque cuantitativo es de tipo aplicada, nivel correlacional, diseño no experimental, la población estará conformada por 100 pacientes post quirúrgicos del Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue, el tipo de muestreo no probabilístico, tamaño de muestra, la conformará 100 pacientes post quirúrgicos del Hospital Nacional Hipólito Unanue, la medición de las 2 variables se realizará mediante la técnica la encuesta y el instrumento del cuestionario, para la primera se utilizará el Strategic and Clinical Quality Indicators in Post-operative Pain Management (SCQIPP) Asimismo, el procesamiento de datos ante la recolección de los datos a través de la aplicación de los instrumentos, la información será transferida a una hoja de cálculo del programa de Microsoft Excel a propósito de llevar a cabo el procesamiento estadístico-descriptivo y consiguiente tabulación de los resultados para facilitar su interpretación y comprensión. Luego, se trasladarán los datos y serán codificados en el programa SPSS versión 27 a fin de realizar el tratamiento estadístico-inferencial; principiando por el uso de la prueba de normalidad Kolmogorov-Smirnov, debido al tamaño muestral. Así, dependiendo de si se cumple la distribución normal en los datos, se procederá a seleccionar la prueba correlacional idónea: R de Pearson (paramétrica) o Rho de Spearman (no paramétrica).
