Level of academic stress and coping strategies in students of the last cycles of the nursing school at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2022

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between academic stress levels and coping strategies in students in the last cycles of the nursing school at the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2022. We worked with the hypothetical deductive method, in the same way it was used the quantitative approach, non-experimental design, correlational level and cross-sectional. The sample was made up of 150 students from the nursing school of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima, taken from a population of 650 students, through convenience sampling. The survey was applied as a data collection technique and the SISCO inventory was used as an instrument to measure academic stress levels and the Brief – COPE-28 questionnaire to evaluate coping strategies. According to the results, it was known that academic stress is located at a medium level according to 57.33%, likewise, it was evident that coping strategies are located at a medium level according to 61.33%. cycles of the nursing school of the Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2022.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los niveles de estrés académico y las estrategias de afrontamiento en los estudiantes de los últimos ciclos de la escuela de enfermería de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2022. Se trabajó con el método hipotético deductivo, de igual forma se usó el enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, nivel correlacional y corte transversal. La muestra estuvo conformada 150 estudiantes de la escuela de enfermería de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima, tomada de una población de 650 estudiantes, por medio de un muestreo por conveniencia. Como técnica de recolección de datos se aplicó la encuesta y como instrumento el inventario SISCO para medir los niveles de estrés académico y el cuestionario Brief – COPE-28 para evaluar las estrategias de afrontamiento. De acuerdo a los resultados se pudo conocer que el estrés académico se sitúa en un nivel medio según el 57.33%, asimismo, se evidenció que las estrategias de afrontamiento se ubican en un nivel medio según el 61.33%. ciclos de la escuela de enfermería de la Universidad Norbert Wiener, Lima 2022.
