Knowledge of immunizations and compliance with the vaccination Schedule in mothers of children under 1 year of age treated in a Health center in Villa El Salvador, 2024

Abstract

Objective: Determine how knowledge of immunizations is related to compliance with the vaccination schedule in mothers of children under 1 year of age attended at a Health Center in Villa El Salvador, 2024. Methodology: The study will be a hypothetical-deductive method, quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental, descriptive and correlational design. The population will be made up of mothers of 80 children under 1 year of age cared for at the Maternal and Child Center of Villa El Salvador. The study techniques will be survey and observation; and a questionnaire on immunization knowledge was used (KR-20=0.752); and a checklist of compliance with the vaccination schedule (α=0.789). The instruments will be applied to each of the study participants, after the data collection is completed, processing will be carried out using the Microsoft Excel Program and the SPSS Statistical Program; Likewise, to determine ranges of each variable and dimensions by Stanones Scale; Next, frequencies and averages reported in tables and/or descriptive and inferential figures will be analyzed; and to calculate the contracting of the hypothesis, the Spearman Correlation Test (Rh0) will be applied to determine the relationship between the variables.

Determinar cómo se relaciona el conocimiento de inmunizaciones con el cumplimiento del calendario de vacunas en madres de niños menores de 1 año atendidos en un Centro de Salud de Villa El Salvador, 2024. Metodología: El estudio será método hipotético-deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada, diseño no experimental, descriptivo y de alcance correlacional. La población estará conformada por madres de 80 niños menores de 1 año atendidos en el Centro Materno Infantil de Villa El Salvador. Las técnicas de estudio serán encuesta y observación; y los instrumento un cuestionario del conocimiento de inmunizaciones (KR-20=0.752); y una ficha de cotejo del cumplimiento del calendario vacunal (α=0.789). Los instrumentos serán aplicados a cada uno de los participantes del estudio, luego de culminada la recolección de datos se procederá al procesamiento mediante el Programa Microsoft Excel y el Programa Estadístico SPSS; asimismo, para determinar rangos de cada variable y dimensiones por Escala de Stanones; seguidamente se analizaran frecuencias y promedios reportados en tablas y/o figuras descriptivas e inferenciales; y para calcular la contratación de la hipótesis se aplicará la Prueba de Correlación de Spearman (Rh0) para determinar la relación entre las variables.
