Level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children from 6 to 24 months, who attend the San Martin de Porres Base Health Center, Lima- 2022

Abstract

Objective: to determine the level of knowledge about iron deficiency anemia in mothers of children aged 6 to 24 months, who attend the San Martín de Porres base health center, Lima 2022. The methodology used was a deductive method, quantitative approach, applied type and non-experimental design, descriptive level - prospective cross-section. The sample was made up of 51 mothers of children from 6 to 24 months old who are treated in the CRED service of the health center. The instrument used was a questionnaire with 20 questions separated by dimensions (level of cooking, food preparation and consumption of foods rich in iron), was evaluated by measurement scales with scores, high level of knowledge 17 to 20, medium 13 to 16 and low 0 to 12 points.

Objetivo: determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre anemia ferropénica en madres de niños de 6 a 24 meses, que acuden al centro de salud base de San Martín de Porres, Lima 2022. La metodología empleada fue de método deductivo, enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicada y de diseño no experimental, nivel descriptivo - corte transversal prospectivo. La muestra se compuso por 51 madres de niños de 6 a 24 meses que se atienden en el servicio CRED del centro de salud, el instrumento que se utilizo fue cuestionario de 20 preguntas separadas por dimensiones (nivel de cocimiento, preparación de alimentos y consumo de alimentos ricos en hierro), fue evaluado por escalas de medición con puntajes, nivel de conocimiento alto 17 a 20, medio13 a16 y bajo 0 a12 puntos.
