Quality of life in patients with colostomy in the surgery service of the Loreto regional hospital “Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias” Iquitos-Peru, 2020

Abstract

It is a quantitative approach study since it will quantify the variables of the study. Non-experimental in design, since it is a study where there will be no intentional variation of the independent variables to verify the effect on the other variable. In addition, it will allow you to analyze the information collected and seek to answer questions that arise during the discussion of the results. The population will consist of a total of 150 patients, aged 18 years or older who have a colostomy, and who are treated in the surgery service of the Regional Hospital of Loreto “Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias”. Participants will be selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria of this research. Inclusion criteria. The following will be part of the study: Patients who are 18 years old or older. Patients who have a colostomy. Patients who have had a colostomy for at least 6 months. It will include men and women. Those who come from urban, peri-urban and rural areas. Patients who voluntarily wish to participate in the study. Patients who do not refuse to sign the informed consent. Exclusion criteria. They will not be part of the study: Pregnant women. Children and adolescents. Patients who have diagnoses of skin problems.

Es un estudio de enfoque cuantitativo ya que cuantificará las variables del estudio. De diseño no experimental, ya que se trata de un estudio donde no habrá variación intencional de las variables independientes para verificar efecto sobre la otra variable. Además, permitirá analizar la información colectada y buscar dar respuesta a cuestiones que aparezcan durante la discusión de los resultados. La población estará constituida por un total de 150 pacientes, con edades igual o mayor a 18 años portadores de colostomía, y que sean atendidos en el servicio de cirugía del Hospital Regional de Loreto “Felipe Santiago Arriola Iglesias”. Los participantes se seleccionarán de acuerdo a criterios de inclusión y exclusión de esta investigación. Criterios de inclusión. Formaran parte del estudio: Los pacientes que tengan la edad igual o mayor de 18 años. Los pacientes que sean portadores de colostomía. Pacientes que tengan al menos 6 meses siendo portadores de colostomía. Incluirá varones y mujeres. Los que procedan de zona urbana, periurbana y rural. Pacientes que voluntariamente deseen participar del estudio. Pacientes que no se nieguen a firmar el consentimiento informado. Criterios de exclusión. No formaran parte del estudio: Mujeres gestantes. Niños y adolescentes. Pacientes que tengan diagnósticos de problemas de piel.
