Level of knowledge and practice of emergency and disaster triage in nursing professionals in a hospital, Lima 2023

Abstract

The present study has as general objective: To determine the level of knowledge and practice of Emergency and Disaster Triage in professionals of a hospital, Lima, 2023. For this, there will be a population of 40 nursing professionals (100%) of the nursing service. emergencies. Method: The research design is cross-sectional, applied, hypothetical-deductive, non-experimental. The survey will be used as a data collection method and the questionnaire "level of knowledge of emergency and disaster triage" as an instrument, will then be subjected to a reliability study using the Kunder Richardson coefficient, yielding a reliability value of 0.789. Similarly, the observation guide was used to assess "the practice of Nursing Disaster and Emergency Triage" for reliability. Next, the KR20 statistic was applied, obtaining a reliable result: KR200=0.82. To confirm the hypothesis, statistical tests will be applied according to the results. The most recent version of the SSPS version 26 program and Microsoft Excel software will be used to process and analyze the data collected throughout the investigation. These two programs will also be used to prepare the statistical tables for said result to meet the objectives.

El presente estudio tiene como objetivo general: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento y práctica del Triaje de emergencias y desastres en profesionales de un hospital, Lima, 2023. Para ello se contará con una población de 40 profesionales de enfermería (100%) del servicio de emergencias. Método: El diseño de la investigación es transversal, aplicada, hipotético-deductivo, no experimental. Se utilizará como método de recolección de datos la encuesta y como instrumento el cuestionario “nivel de conocimiento del Triaje de emergencias y desastres”, luego será sometido a un estudio de confiabilidad mediante el coeficiente de kunder Richardson, arrojando un valor de confiabilidad de 0,789. De forma similar, se utilizó la guía de observación para evaluar “la práctica del Triaje de emergencias y desastres en enfermería“ con el fin de determinar la fiabilidad. A continuación, se aplicó el estadístico KR20 obtuviendo un resultado fiable: KR200=0,82. Para confirmar la hipótesis se aplicarán pruebas estadísticas de acuerdo a los resultados. Se utilizará la versión más reciente del programa SSPS versión 26 y el software Microsoft Excel para procesar y analizar los datos recogidos a lo largo de la investigación.
