Level of academic stress and anxiety in students starting pre professional internship at Norbert Wiener University, Lima 2023

Abstract

With the objective of determining how the level of academic stress is related to anxiety in students who begin pre-professional internships at Norbert Wiener University. The research has a quantitative approach, correlational scope, the research design is non-experimental, cross-sectional, it has been considered. In this study, the population was made up of students of the ninth cycle of Nursing EAP who begin pre-professional practice at Norbert University Wiener, total of 120 students, the sample was census, for data collection two instruments were used, the first to measure academic stress the SISCO Academic Stress Scale was used and to measure anxiety the CISCO questionnaire was used. The results provide the following: the level of stress level of academic stress with anxiety, finding that there is medium academic stress with moderate anxiety in 36.7% and The level of stress level of academic stress in its stressors dimension with anxiety, finding that has medium academic stress with moderate anxiety in 35.8%. It is recommended Conduct prevention campaigns, workshops, including group dynamics and relaxation techniques to help students cope with high levels of academic stress and provide first grade students with tips and strategies to plan their schedules, learning strategies to avoid academic stress to occur while providing appropriate coping skills.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo el nivel de estrés académico se relaciona con la ansiedad en los estudiantes que empiezan las practicas pre – profesionales de la Universidad Norbert Wiener. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, no experimental, alcance correlacional, el diseño de la investigación es no experimental de corte transversal. La población estuvo conformada por estudiantes del noveno ciclo de EAP de Enfermería que inician práctica pre profesional en Universidad Norbert Wiener, total de 120 estudiantes, la muestra fue censal. para la recolección de los datos se utilizaron 2 instrumentos el primero para medir el estrés académico se usó la Escala de Estrés Académico SISCO y para medir la ansiedad se usó el cuestionario CISCO. Los resultados aportan lo siguiente el nivel de estrés nivel de estrés académico con la ansiedad, encontrándose que se tiene estrés académico medio con ansiedad moderada en 36.7% y El nivel de estrés nivel de estrés académico en su dimensión estresores con la ansiedad, encontrándose que se tiene estrés académico medio con ansiedad moderada en 35.8%.
