Level of knowledge and practice of the nursing professional in the care of the newborn with oxygen therapy in the neonatal intensive care unit of the Ricardo Palma clinic, Lima, 2022

Abstract

The administration of oxygen therapy to critically ill neonates is an intervention performed by nursing professionals working in neonatal intensive care units, which must be accompanied by adequate knowledge. The objective of this project is to determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and the practice of nursing professionals in the care of neonates receiving oxygen therapy in the neonatal intensive care unit of Clínica Ricardo Palma, 2022. This research is quantitative, descriptive, correlational, and cross-sectional, consisting of 40 nurses from the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. A multiple-choice questionnaire will be used to identify the level of knowledge, and a checklist will be applied to determine the level of practice.

La administración de la oxigenoterapia al neonato en estado crítico, es una intervención del profesional de enfermería que labora en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales que debe de ir de la mano de un adecuado conocimiento, por el cual el objetivo de este proyecto es Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y la práctica del profesional de enfermería en el cuidado del neonato con oxigenoterapia de la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales de la Clínica Ricardo Palma.2022. Dicha investigación es cuantitativa, descriptiva, correlacional, transversal conformado por 40 enfermeras del servicio de Unidad de Cuidados Intensivos Neonatales. Se aplicará un cuestionario, tipo alternativa múltiple, para identificar el Nivel de conocimientos y para determinar el nivel de práctica, se aplicará una lista de cotejo.
