The research addresses self-medication considered a public health problem. Objective. Analyzing the endogenous and exogenous factors with self-medication of analgesics in adults who live in a residence in Jesús María, Lima, during the first quarter of 2023. Methodology. The hypothetical-deductive method was used as a methodology with a quantitative approach and non-experimental design, for which the present study is of the basic descriptive type. The technique used was the survey. A merged instrument of two instruments already validated by expert judgment was used, which, subjected to the reliability test with a pilot survey, reached 7.1 Cronbach's Alpha coefficient, considered acceptable. Sample. A population of 80 people chosen in a non-probabilistic way was consulted on the condition that they have self-medicated between January and March 2023. Results: With a confidence level of 95%, there is evidence to sustain that the influence of factors associated with self-medication with analgesics in adults who self-medicate in the Residential Esmeralda of Jesús María, Lima, is significant. 65% of respondents who selfmedicate are women, mostly between 18 and 40 years old. All of the respondents affirm that the waiting time in health establishments is long, therefore, they self-medicate given their little availability of time. 95% of respondents self-medicate when presenting some ailment and 87.5% acknowledge having experienced adverse reactions. 100% believe in the pharmacist's information and also believe that you do not put your health at risk if you consume medicines without a prescription.en_US
