Self-esteem and level of self-care in patients with terminal chronic kidney disease undergoing hemodialysis treatment in a hospital in Metropolitan Lima, 2021

Abstract

The present research study entitled: "Knowledge and Self-care Practices of Ostomy Patients of the Surgery Service of the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, Lima 2022, has the Objective: To analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and the self-care practices of ostomy patients of the Surgery Service of the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, Lima 2022. Material and method: The study is of an applicative type, quantitative approach, descriptive correlational level, non-experimental and cross-sectional design. The population will be made up of 72 ostomy patients who attend the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital, selected as a sample, considering the inclusion and exclusion criteria. Two questionnaires will be used as instruments to measure the study variables. The first will measure the knowledge of ostomy patients about self-care through 15 questions with multiple choice options, while the second will measure the self-care practices of ostomy patients through 28 questions with dichotomous choice options, measuring four dimensions: Changing and frequency of changing the colostomy bag, Hygiene of the colostomy bag, Measurement of the stoma to adapt the device and use of skin protectors.

El presente estudio de investigación titulado: “Conocimiento y Prácticas del autocuidado de los pacientes ostomizados del Servicio de Cirugía del Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, Lima 2022, tiene como Objetivo: Analizar la relación del nivel de conocimiento con las prácticas del autocuidado de los pacientes ostomizados del Servicio de Cirugía del Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, Lima 2022. Material y método: El estudio es de tipo aplicativo, enfoque cuantitativo, nivel descriptivo correlacional, diseño no experimental y de corte transversal. la población estará conformada por 72 pacientes ostomizados que asisten al Hospital Nacional Arzobispo Loayza, seleccionados como muestra, considerando los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Se utilizará como instrumento dos cuestionario que medirán las variables de estudio, el primero medirá los Conocimiento sobre autocuidado que tienen pacientes ostomizados a través de 15 preguntas con opciones de respuesta múltiple, mientras el segundo las prácticas sobre autocuidado que tienen los pacientes ostomizados a través de 28 preguntas con opciones de respuesta dicotómicas, midiendo cuatro dimensiones: Cambio y frecuencia de cambio de la bolsa de colostomía, Higiene de la bolsa de colostomía, Medición de la estoma para adaptar el dispositivo y uso de protectores cutáneos.
