Critical review: Nutritional strategies in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus

Abstract

1. The present research defined as a critical review, with the title: nutritional strategies in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus, aimed to determine nutritional strategies in patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and their effect on the reduction of biochemical results. The Evidence-Based Nutrition (Cloud) methodology was used. The information search was carried out in PUBMED, MEDLINE, SCIELO, and SCIENCE DIRECT, finding 26 articles, of which 13 were selected that have been evaluated through the CASPE critical reading tool, finally selecting the Systematic Review entitled: Food sources of Fructose-containing sugars and glycemic control: systematic review and meta-analysis of controlled intervention studies a systematic review, which has a level of IIA evidence and a high Grade of Recommendation, according to the expertise of the researcher. The critical comment allowed us to conclude that The results of the study are related to the research objective, the authors show the effects of different food sources of sugars containing fructose on glycemic control at different levels of energy control. Likewise, the study showed that fruits and fruit juices have a beneficial interaction in glycemic control, which agrees with multiple studies that refer to the benefits of complex carbohydrates derived from fruits, vegetables, legumes and whole grains in the treatment of hyperglycemia and cardio-metabolic risks.

La presente investigación definida como revisión crítica, con título: La obesidad en mujeres mayores de 15 años como factor predisponente del cáncer de ovario, tuvo como objetivo identificar la relación directa e indirecta de la obesidad y su influencia en el inicio del cáncer de ovario en mujeres pre y post menopáusicas. Se utilizó la metodología Nutrición Basada en Evidencia (Nube). La búsqueda de información se realizó en PUBMED, HINARI, MEDLINE, SCIELO, SCOPUS y SCIENCE DIRECT, encontrando 78 artículos, de ellos se seleccionaron 30 que han sido evaluados a través de la herramienta para lectura crítica CASPE, seleccionándose finalmente la Revisión Sistemática titulada Obesidad y riesgo de cáncer de ovario: una revisión sistemática, el cual posee un nivel de evidencia IIA y Grado de Recomendación Fuerte, de acuerdo a la expertise del investigador. El comentario crítico permitió concluir que hacen falta más investigaciones para determinar los factores genéticos y ambientales que contribuyen al riesgo del cáncer de ovario en las mujeres obesas. Sin embargo, existen evidencias disponibles que relacionan a la obesidad con algunos subtipos histológicos del cáncer de ovario. Hacen falta más estudios destinados a establecer esa relación por subtipos histológicos del cáncer de ovario relacionados a la obesidad.
