Level of overload and quality of life of the main caregiver in palliative care patients in the IPRESS Expertta Salud, Lima 2022

Abstract

The level of overload in the main caregivers is manifested in those who have patients at home with oncological medical diagnoses who are in the final phase of life. The objective is to establish the relationship that exists between the level of overload and the quality of life of the main caregivers in palliative care patients at the IPRESS Expertta Salud, Lima 2022. It is of an applied type, with a quantitative, observational approach, with a correlational and cross-sectional level. The population and sample is aimed at 80 main caregivers of patients in palliative care. In order to categorize the level of overload, the H. Zarit test will be carried out, consisting of a total of 22 items, and the WHOQOL-BREF instrument, with a total of 26 items.

El nivel de la sobrecarga en los cuidadores principales, se manifiestan en quienes cuentan en el domicilio con pacientes de diagnósticos médicos oncológicos que se encuentran en una fase final de vida. El objetivo es establecer la relación que existe sobre el nivel de sobrecarga y la calidad de vida de los cuidadores principales en pacientes de cuidados paliativos en la IPRESS Expertta Salud, Lima 2022. Es de tipo aplicado, con un enfoque cuantitativo, observacional, con un nivel correlacional y de corte transversal. La población y muestra está dirigido a 80 cuidadores principales de pacientes en cuidados paliativos. Para poder categorizar cual será el nivel de sobrecarga, se realizará el test de H. Zarit, conformado por una totalidad de 22 ítems y el instrumento WHOQOL-BREF, con un total de 26 ítems.
