Knowledge and practice on biosafety in nurses of the surgical center of a national hospital in Lima, 2023

Abstract

OBJECTIVE: Determine how knowledge and practice on biosafety are related in nurses at the surgical center of a national hospital in Lima, 2023. METHODOLOGY: will follow the quantitative method, applied and relational, non-experimental research. The sample will be made up of 80 nurses. The Knowledge Questionnaire on biosafety measures will be used, which consists of 20 questions, and the practice data collection sheet for biosafety measures presented by Huanca and Medina, which has a distribution of 19 questions. RESULTS: In terms of statistical analysis, Excel 2016 will be used. Then, the results will be imported into the SPSS 26 software. To perform the normality test, the Kolmogorov-Smirnov test will be used for samples greater than 50 to evaluate whether the data They are parametric or non-parametric. Depending on the findings obtained, the use of the Spearman or Pearson correlation coefficient test will be decided. Using inferential statistical methods, the proposed hypotheses will be tested. Finally, it will be presented through descriptive statistics.

METODOLOGÍA: seguirá el método cuantitativo, investigación aplicada y relacional, no experimental. La muestra estará compuesta por 80 enfermeras. Se utilizará el Cuestionario de conocimiento sobre medidas de bioseguridad el cual consta de 20 preguntas y la ficha de recolección de datos de práctica hacia las medidas de bioseguridad presentado por Huanca y Medina el cual tiene una distribución de 19 preguntas. RESULTADOS: En términos de análisis estadístico, se utilizará Excel 2016. Luego, los resultados se importarán al software SPSS 26. Para la realización de la prueba de normalidad se usará la prueba de Kolmogórov-Smirnov para muestras mayores de 50 para evaluar si los datos son paramétricos o no paramétricos. Dependiendo los hallazgos obtenidos, se decidirá el uso de la prueba de Coeficiente de correlación Spearman o Pearson. Utilizando métodos estadísticos inferenciales se pondrán a prueba las hipótesis propuestas. Finalmente, se presentará mediante la estadística descriptiva.
