Work stress and quality of nursing care of the emergency service of a hospital in Lima, 2022

Abstract

The study will be carried out within the line of research on emergencies and disasters. Its elaboration will focus on work stress and the quality of care of nursing staff, aspects that are linked, because if professionals are affected by stress, this will affect the work they do and the well-being of patients, even more so in the context of emergency, an area that is constantly close to situations of pain, sadness and death; emotions that can affect this professional group. Objective: to determine the relationship between work stress in Nursing and the quality of care in the emergency area of ​​a Hospital in Lima, 2022.

Materials and methods: the approach will be quantitative, with a descriptive-correlational scope, non-experimental, cross-sectional design. The study sample will be 52 nurses and 217 patients treated in the emergency room of the hospital where the study will be carried out. Technique and instruments for data collection: 2 questionnaires will be used to measure the variables. The technique will be the survey. Results: a matrix will be created in Excel, the information will be transferred to the SPSS software vs. 26, to prepare tables, figures and inferential statistics that will allow the hypothesis contrast, using the non-parametric Spearman Rho test.

Su elaboración se centrará en el estrés laboral y la calidad de atención del personal de enfermería, aspectos que se encuentran ligados, pues si los profesionales están afectados por el estrés ello redundará en la labor que realizan y el bienestar de los pacientes, más aún en el contexto de emergencia, ámbito que tiene constante cercanía a situaciones de dolor, tristeza y muerte; emociones que pueden afectar a este grupo profesional. Objetivo: determinar la relación del estrés laboral de Enfermería y la calidad de atención en el área de emergencia de un Hospital de Lima, 2022. Materiales y métodos: el enfoque será cuantitativo, con alcance descriptivo-Correlacional, diseño no experimental, transversal. la muestra de estudio será de 52 enfermeros y 217 pacientes atendidos en emergencia del hospital donde se realizará el estudio. Técnica e instrumentos para recolección de datos: se utilizara 2 cuestionarios para medir las variables. la técnica será la encuesta. Resultados: se elaborará una matriz en Excel, se trasladará la información al software SPSS vs. 26, para elaborar tablas, figuras y estadísticas inferenciales que permitirán efectuar la contrastación de hipótesis, mediante la prueba no paramétrica de Rho de Spearman."
