Family social climate and self-esteem of patients with pulmonary tuberculosis who attend the Caquetá Rímac health center

Abstract

Methodology: Quantitative type, descriptive, cross-sectional correlational method, made up of a total population of 50 patients, obtained by inclusion and exclusion criteria. The technique used was the interview and the instruments are: the Self-esteem Test validated by the Psychologist Fausto Valencia, Professor at the Catholic University of Chile and updated in 2007 by Baldeon R. N., to determine the level of self-esteem and the Social Climate Scale Adapted Family (Rudolf H. Moos, Bernice S. Moos, Edison J. Trickett) that evaluates the characteristics of the family social climate. Results: 100% (50) total, 48% have medium self-esteem, 34% have low self-esteem and 18% have high self-esteem; Likewise, 46% have a moderately favorable climate, 28% have an unfavorable climate and 26% have a favorable climate, affective dimension of self-esteem 54% medium level. Cognitive - social 52% at a medium level. Relationships 56% at a moderately favorable level. Development 48% at a favorable level. Stability 38% at a moderately favorable level. Conclusion: as the family social climate score increases, so does the self-esteem score, so there is a direct relationship, of a moderate level and highly significant between the variables Self-esteem and climate. family social (rho = 0.446; p = 0.001). Therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected.

Metodología: Tipo cuantitativo, método descriptivo, correlacional de corte transversal, conformado por una población total de 50 pacientes, obtenidos por criterios de inclusión y exclusión. La técnica utilizada fue la entrevista y los instrumentos son: el Test de Autoestima validado por el Psicólogo Fausto Valencia, Catedrático de la Universidad Católica de Chile y actualizado en el 2007 por Baldeon R. N., para determinar el nivel de autoestima Y la Escala de Clima Social Familiar Adaptada (Rudolf H. Moos, Bernice S. Moos, Edison J. Trickett) que evalúa las características del clima familiar social. Resultados: el 100% (50) total, el 48% tiene una autoestima media, el 34% tiene una autoestima baja y el 18% tiene una autoestima alta; así también,el 46% tiene un clima medianamente favorable, el 28% tiene un clima desfavorable y el 26% tiene un clima favorable, dimensión afectiva de autoestima el 54% nivel medio. Cognoscitiva - social el 52% en nivel medio.Relaciones el 56% un nivel medianamente favorable. Desarrollo el 48% en nivel favorable. Estabilidad el 38% en nivel medianamente favorable.Conclusión: a medida que el puntaje del clima social familiar aumenta, el puntaje de autoestima también, por lo que existe una relación de tipo directa, de nivel moderado y altamente significativo entre las variables Autoestima y clima social familiar (rho = 0,446; p = 0,001)., por lo que se rechaza la hipótesis nula.
