Therapeutic nurse-patient interaction and its relationship with the sociocultural factors of the pre-operative patient of the day surgery service: Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital

Abstract

The objective is to determine the correlation of the therapeutic interaction between nurse - patient and its relationship with sociocultural factors of the pre-operative patient. Day Surgery Service. Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital. The Descriptive – correlational method, with two populations: 18 nurses and 103 patients. Techniques, observation of nurses and patient interviews were used. The Instruments were questionnaire and Ballón rating scale. Results: It is the nurse's perception of the nurse-patient interaction (66.66%), the patients' perception of the nurse-patient interaction (65.04%), the sociocultural factors of the preoperative patient (56.28%). Conclusions: Two thirds (66.66%), the nurse's perception of the nurse-patient interaction was regular, with a tendency to poor, highlighting that in 4 dimensions, except in the Identification dimension. Almost two thirds (65.04%) the patient's perception of the nurse-patient interaction was regular, with a tendency to poor, the sociocultural factors of the preoperative patient have a medium association, with a tendency towards a high association. The majority (87.38%), sociocultural factors of the preoperative patient according to dimensions, the sex predominates male (53.40%). It is concluded that the null hypothesis is accepted and the alternative hypothesis is rejected. (r = 0.0058).

El objetivo es determinar la correlación de la interacción terapéutica entre enfermera – paciente y su relación con factores socioculturales del paciente pre – operatorio. Servicio Cirugía de Día. Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen. El método Descriptivo – correlacional, Con dos poblaciones 18 enfermeras y 103 pacientes. Se utilizó técnicas, observación a enfermeras y entrevista pacientes. Los Instrumentos fueron cuestionario y escala de calificación Ballón. Resultados: Es la percepción de la enfermera sobre la interacción enfermeras - paciente (66.66%), la percepción de los pacientes sobre la interacción enfermera paciente (65.04%), los factores socioculturales del paciente pre operatorio (56.28%). Conclusiones: Dos tercios (66.66%), percepción de la enfermera sobre la interacción enfermera -paciente fue regular, con tendencia a deficiente, destaca que en 4 dimensiones, excepto en dimensión Identificación. Casi dos tercios (65.04%) la percepción del paciente sobre la interacción enfermera – paciente fue regular, con tendencia a deficiente, los factores socioculturales del paciente pre operatorio es de mediana asociación, con tendencia a una alta asociación. La mayoría (87.38%), factores socioculturales del paciente pre operatorio según dimensiones, en el sexo predomina el varón (53.40%). Se concluye que se acepta la hipótesis nula y se rechaza la hipótesis alterna. (r = 0.0058).
