Knowledge about biological risk and preventive practices of nursing staff at Huánuco regional hospital, 2023

Abstract

This research aims to: Determine the relationship between knowledge about biological risk and the preventive practices of the nursing staff of the Huánuco Regional Hospital, 2023. The methodology: hypothetical - deductive method, non-experimental design, applied type , quantitative approach, the sample was composed of 80 nursing professionals, two structured questionnaires will be used for the research work, the first to measure the knowledge of biological risks and the second for the preventive practice of biological risks, which are already validated, in As regards reliability, it was found using Cronbach's alpha where instrument one had a value of 0.853 and instrument two had a value of 0.821. To collect data, each participant will have 15 minutes to answer the questions. Graphs and tables will be used for analysis and interpretation using frequencies and percentages. Also, to evaluate the proposed hypotheses, Pearson's R correlation will be used as an estimation measure, applying a confidence level of 95% and a margin of error of 5%. This evaluation will be carried out by analyzing a contingency table that involves both variables.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación existente entre del conocimiento sobre riesgo biológico y las prácticas preventivas del personal de enfermería del Hospital Regional Huánuco, 2023. La metodología: método hipotético – deductivo, diseño no experimental, de tipo aplicada, de enfoque cuantitativo, la muestra fue compuesta por 80 profesionales de enfermería, se usarán para el trabajo de investigación serán dos cuestionarios estructurados, el primero para medir el conocimiento de riesgos biológicos y el segundo para la práctica preventiva de riesgos biológicos, las cuales ya están validados, en cuanto a la confiabilidad fue hallada mediante el alfa de Cronbach donde el instrumento uno tuvo un valor de 0,853 y el instrumento dos tiene un valor de 0,821. Para recolectar datos cada participante tendrá 15 minutos para responder las preguntas, para el análisis e interpretación se usarán gráficos y tablas mediante las frecuencias y porcentajes. También, para evaluar las hipótesis planteadas, se utilizará como medida de estimación la correlación de R de Pearson, aplicando un nivel de confianza del 95% y un margen de error del 5%. Esta evaluación se llevará a cabo mediante el análisis de una tabla de contingencia que involucra ambas variables.
