Level of Knowledge and Practices on the Administration of Inotropes by Nurses in the Neonatal ICU of a Public Hospital in Lima, 2022.

Abstract

This study, titled 'Level of Knowledge and Practices on the Administration of Inotropes by Nurses in the Neonatal ICU of a Public Hospital in Lima – 2022,' aimed to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and practices regarding the administration of inotropes by nurses in the Neonatal ICU of a public hospital in Lima, 2022. The care of patients is the essence of the nursing profession, and this implies a scientific, philosophical, moral, and legal commitment. However, there may be situations that influence the work of nursing professionals, which is the focus of this research. Materials and Method: This is an applied study with a quantitative, correlational approach, non-experimental design, and cross-sectional nature. The total population included 30 nurses from the unit under study. Two instruments were used: a questionnaire and a checklist.

El presente estudio denominado “Nivel de conocimientos y prácticas sobre administración de inotrópicos en enfermeras del servicio de Uci Neonatal de un hospital público de Lima- 2022”, tuvo como objetivo: Analizar la relación del nivel de conocimientos con las prácticas sobre administración de inotrópicos en enfermeras del servicio de Uci Neonatal de un hospital público de Lima, 2022. El cuido de los pacientes es la esencia de la profesión de enfermería y ello implica un compromiso científico, filosófico, moral y legal; sin embargo, pueden existir situaciones que influyan en el quehacer del profesional de enfermería por lo que el presente trabajo de investigación tiene como objetivo analizarlo. Material y Método: Es un estudio de tipo aplicativo, de enfoque cuantitativo, correlacional, de diseño no experimental y de corte transversal. La población total consideró a 30 enfermeras de la unidad sujeta a estudio. Fueron usados dos instrumentos: un cuestionario y una lista de chequeo.
