Knowledge and practice of nursing for pain management in newborns of the neonatology service of a hospital in Callao, 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the relationship between nursing knowledge and practice for pain management in newborns in the neonatology department of a hospital in Callao, 2021. Materials and methods: The approach to be followed is quantitative, with applied research, descriptive-correlational scope, and non-experimental cross-sectional design. The sample will consist of 40 nurses from a hospital in Callao. The technique will be the survey, and the instruments will be two questionnaires, one to measure the knowledge variable and another for the nursing practice variable for pain management.

Objetivo: determinar cuál es la relación entre conocimiento y práctica de enfermería para el manejo del dolor en recién nacidos del servicio de neonatología de un hospital del Callao, 2021. Materiales y métodos: el enfoque a seguir es cuantitativo, la investigación es de tipo aplicada, con alcance descriptivo-correlacional y diseño no experimental-transversal. La muestra será de 40 enfermeras de un hospital del Callao. La técnica será la encuesta y los instrumentos serán dos cuestionarios, uno para medir la variable conocimiento y otro destinado a la variable práctica de enfermería para el manejo del dolor.
