Burnout syndrome and work stress in nurses at the surgical center of a National Hospital in Lima, 2022.

Abstract

Nursing is the backbone of the healthcare system, playing an indispensable role in critical areas. The surgical center is daily burdened with stressful situations that require a lot of physical, intellectual and emotional demand. The professional must stay healthy to offer excellent and quality care. When there is an imbalance in these characteristics, the professional is prone to suffer from occupational diseases such as Burnout Syndrome and work stress. Objective: To determine the level of Burnout Syndrome related to work stress in nurses in the surgical center of a National Hospital in Lima, 2022. Methods: hypothetical-deductive, quantitative approach, correlational level, cross-sectional, non-experimental, with a sample of 80 nursing graduates and technicians who work in the surgical center of a National Hospital in Lima, already validated instruments will be applied to measure the first variable, the Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey (MBI HSS) instrument created by Christina Maslach, Michael Leiter and Jackson, with reliability of 0.809 according to Cronbach's Alpha and for work stress the ILO-WHO questionnaire carried out by Ivancevich & Matteson in the United States, with 0.966. For data analysis, the Spearman coefficient will be applied. In this way, results that respond to the statement of the problem can be obtained.

Enfermería es la columna vertebral del sistema sanitario, juega un rol indispensable en las áreas críticas, el centro quirúrgico diariamente está cargado de situaciones estresantes que requieren mucha demanda física, intelectual y emocional. El profesional debe mantenerse saludable para que ofrezca una atención excelente y de calidad, al existir un desequilibrio en dichas características está propenso a sufrir enfermedades laborales como Síndrome de Burnout y estrés laboral. Objetivo: Determinar cuál es el nivel del Síndrome de Burnout relacionado con el estrés laboral en enfermeros del centro quirúrgico de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, 2022.Métodos:hipotético-deductivo,enfoque cuantitativo, nivel correlacional, de corte transversal, no experimental, con una muestra de 80 licenciados y técnicos de enfermería que laboran en centro quirúrgico de un Hospital Nacional de Lima, se aplicarán instrumentos ya validados, para medir la primera variable el instrumento Maslach Burnout Inventory Human Services Survey (MBI HSS) creado por Christina Maslach, Michael Leiter y Jackson, con confiabilidad de 0,809 según Alfa de Cronbach y para el estrés laboral el cuestionario de la OIT-OMS realizado por Ivancevich & Matteson en Estados Unidos, con 0,966. Para el análisis de datos se aplicará el coeficiente de Spearman. Así se podrán obtener resultados que respondan al planteamiento del problema.
