Biopsychosocial factors and practice of exclusive breastfeeding in adolescent mothers of the Hospital Supe, 2023

Abstract

The present research study is developed with the OBJECTIVE of determining the relationship between biopsychosocial factors and the practice of exclusive breastfeeding in adolescent mothers of the Hospital de Supe, 2023. Regarding the RESEARCH METHODOLOGY, it is established that the method is hypothetical - deductive, with a quantitative approach, it is also applied, its design is not experimental, cross-sectional and correlational level. On the other hand, there is a sample of 80 adolescent mothers with infants under 6 months of age who are cared for in the aforementioned establishment; it is important to indicate that, to obtain said sample, there was no need to use any formula, since the population is small, this being the same as the sample. On the other hand, an instrument will be used for each variable, that is, a questionnaire for “biopsychosocial factors” with a validity of 81.90% and a Cronbach's Alpha confidence of 0.521 and another questionnaire for the “practice of exclusive breastfeeding”, with a validity of 97.52% and a Cronbach's Alpha confidence of 0.723. These instruments are applied in the sample to be able to measure the variables in question, this is obtained by complying with ethical standards; Both variables will be measured by statistical inference, when the data collection is completed, the information will be processed in a coding and counting matrix for the use of the SPSS 26 software, tables and figures will be obtained.

El presente estudio de investigación se desarrolla con el OBJETIVO de determinar la relación que existe entre los factores biopsicosociales y la práctica de la lactancia materna exclusiva en madres adolescentes del Hospital de Supe, 2023. Con respecto a la METODOLOGÍA DE LA INVESTIGACIÓN, se establece que el método es hipotético – deductivo, con un enfoque cuantitativo, además es de tipo aplicada, su diseño es no experimental, de corte transversal y de nivel correlacional. Por otra parte, se tiene una muestra de 80 madres adolescentes con lactantes menores de 6 meses que se atienden en el establecimiento mencionado; es importante indicar que, para obtener dicha muestra no hubo necesidad de emplear ninguna fórmula, ya que la población es pequeña, siendo esta igual que la muestra. Por otro lado, se va a utilizar un instrumento para cada variable, es decir un cuestionario para los “factores biopsicosociales” con una validez de 81.90% y una confiablidad Alfa de Cronbach de 0.521 y otro cuestionario para la “práctica de la lactancia materna exclusiva”, con una validez de 97.52% y una confiablidad Alfa de Cronbach de 0.723. Dichos instrumentos se aplican en la muestra para poder medir las variables en mención, ello se obtiene mediante el cumplimiento de las normas éticas; ambas variables serán medidas por la estadística inferencial, cuando se concluya el recojo de datos, la información se procesará en una matriz de codificación y conteo para uso del software SPSS 26, se obtendrán tablas y figuras.
