Ergonomic risk and cervical disability in teleworkers at Therasport physiotherapy center during the pandemic, 2022

Abstract

Objective: To determine the level of relationship between ergonomic risk and cervical disability in teleworkers at the Therasport physiotherapy center during the pandemic, 2022. Materials and Methods: The sample consisted of 80 teleoperators. The research is basic with a non-experimental correlational design, using the REBA method for ergonomic risk and the cervical disability index. Results: The highest participation percentage was 46.25% of patients aged 50–59 years. Female participation was higher, at 52.50%, compared to males at 47.50%. The highest comorbidity percentage was 25% for diabetes, 23.8% for arthritis, 21.3% for COPD-emphysema, 12.5% for bronchial asthma, 10% for cancer, 5% for thyroid disorders, and 2.5% for cardiovascular issues. Conclusions: There is a relationship between ergonomic risk and cervical disability in teleworkers at the Therasport physiotherapy center during the pandemic.

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de relación entre el riesgo ergonómico y la discapacidad cervical en teletrabajadores del centro de fisioterapia Therasport durante la pandemia, 2022. Materiales y Métodos: La muestra estuvo conformada por 80 teleoperadores, el tipo de investigación es básica con un diseño no experimental de alcance correlacional utilizo el método Reba para riesgo ergonómico y el Índice de discapacidad cervical. Resultados: fue mayor el porcentaje en participación con un 46.25% de los pacientes con 50 – 59 años, la participación del sexo femenino fue mayor con un 52.50% frente al sexo masculino que contó con un 47.50%, el mayor porcentaje visto en relación a comorbilidad llego a un 25% con respecto a la Diabetes, 23.8% con respecto a la artritis, 21.3% con respecto a Epoc-enfisema, 12.5% corresponde a asma bronquial, 10% corresponde a cáncer, 5% con respecto a la tiroides y 2.5% con respecto a cardiovascular. Conclusiones: Existe relación entre el riesgo ergonómico y la discapacidad cervical en teletrabajadores del centro de fisioterapia Therasport durante la pandemia.
