Hygiene habits related to vaginal infections in students of the 5th year of secondary school at Ricardo Palma School of Villa El Salvador 2023

Abstract

The objective of this research study was to understand and analyze the relationship between hygiene habits and vaginal infections in 5th year high school students at Ricardo Palma School -2023. The methodology of the present study was descriptive correlational, cross-sectional with a non-experimental design because the variables are not manipulated, they are only observed. The sample was made up of 62 female students from the 5th year of high school in the morning shift who filled out a survey consisting of 16 questions that responded to the proposed objectives. The results that have been addressed are: Hygiene habits in students in the 5th year of secondary school at the Ricardo Palma school in Villa El Salvador in the year 2023, none of them have poor hygiene habits, 40.3% have a regular level and 59.7% have a regular level. % good level. Regarding vaginal infections, we can observe that 74.2% of the 5th year high school students at the Ricardo Palma school in Villa El Salvador in 2023 have vaginal infections and 25.8% do not. Conclusions: Personal hygiene habits are NOT significantly related to vaginal infections in 5th year high school students at the Ricardo Palma school in Villa el Salvador, 2023.

Estudio realizado de tipo analítico de cohorte transversal en una población de 50 gestantes adolescentes a partir de las 37 semanas, entre las edades comprendidas de 10 a 19 años. Se aplicó el test de Zung junto con las características socio-demográficas maternas y datos del recién nacido. El 60% de las participantes en el estudio presentan la edad de 17 años. En cuanto a la presencia de depresión, dió como resultado un 86% de pacientes sin depresión y un 14% con depresión leve o moderada de cuatro posibles resultados, que son: depresión dentro de límites normales, depresión leve o moderada, depresión moderada a intensa y depresión intensa. En los neonatos se observa un 74%, con buen peso al nacer, en los test realizados, TEST DE APGAR, TEST DE SILVERMAN Y TEST DE CAPURRO se evidencia un puntaje significativo para dos de tres test e intervinientes.
