Emotional intelligence and academic stress in nursing students of the 7th and 8th cycle of the Norbert Wiener private university, Lima 2022

Abstract

For the development of this study, the general objective was to determine the relationship between emotional intelligence and academic stress in nursing students of the 7th and 8th cycle of the Norbert Wiener private university, Lima 2022; for which a hypothetical deductive method was used, a type of applied research, with a non-experimental design in a sample of 161 nursing students of the 7th and 8th cycle of the Norbert Wiener private university, Lima 2022, to whom the Scale was applied. of Emotional Intelligence TMMS24 and the SISCO Inventory to measure academic stress. The results obtained through the statistical analysis of Spearman's Rho showed a correlation of -.512; also, a significance of less than 0.05 (p< 0.05). The research concludes that there is an inverse relationship between emotional intelligence and academic stress in university students.

Para el desarrollo del presente estudio se tuvo como objetivo general determinar la relación entre la inteligencia emocional y el estrés académico en los estudiantes de enfermería del séptimo y octavo ciclo de la universidad privada Norbert Wiener, Lima 2022; este estudio se llevó a cabo mediante un enfoque metodológico hipotético - deductivo, que corresponde a un tipo de investigación aplicada, con un diseño no experimental en una muestra de 161 estudiantes de enfermería de 7mo y 8vo ciclo de la universidad privada Norbert Wiener, Lima 2022 a quienes se les aplicó la Escala de Inteligencia emocional TMMS-24 y el Inventario SISCO para medir el estrés académico. Los resultados arrojados a través del análisis estadístico de Rho de Spearman demostraron una correlación de -,512; asimismo una significancia inferior a 0.05 (p<0.05). La investigación concluye que existe una relación inversa entre la inteligencia emocional y el estrés académico en los estudiantes universitarios.
