Knowledge and preventive attitude about diabetes mellitus type II in patients who attend the San Genaro Maternal and Child Center, Lima 2024

Abstract

Currently, DM is considered a major public health problem, standing out among the 4 non-communicable diseases with a project to intervene in the development and health of the population. Objective: Determine the relationship between knowledge and preventive attitudes about Type II Diabetes Mellitus in patients who attend the San Genaro Maternal and Child Center, December 2024. Methodology: Quantitative study, correlational in scope, with cross-section, nonexperimental, who’s the subject of the study were patients who attended the San Genaro Maternal and Child Center, the sample being the total number of patients who attended in the established period, where a questionnaire developed by Gallardo in 2013, which was carried out with the support of the Mexican Social Security Institute, which underwent validity and reliability

En la actualidad la DM es considerado un gran problema de salud pública, destacando dentro de las 4 enfermedades no transmisible con proyecto a intervenir en el desarrollo y salud de la población. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los conocimientos y actitudes preventivas sobre la Diabetes Mellitus tipo II en pacientes que acuden al Centro Materno Infantil San Genaro, 2024.Metodología: Estudio cuantitativo, de alcance correlacional, con corte transversal, no experimental, cuyo sujeto de estudio fueron pacientes que acuden al Centro Materno Infantil San Genaro, siendo la muestra el total de pacientes que acudieron en el periodo establecido, donde se utilizará como instrumento un cuestionario elaborado por Gallardo, que fue realizado con el apoyo del Instituto Mexicano de Seguro Social, el cual atravesó validez y confiabilidad.
