Work stress in the nursing professional of the emergency service of a hospital in Chancay, 2020

Abstract

According to the American Nurse Association, which has more than 4 million affiliated nurses, stress is one of the most underestimated but impactful problems that nurses face. It appears in many aspects of a nurse's work and personal life. Objective: To determine the level of work stress in the nursing professional of the emergency service of a hospital in Chancay, 2020 Methodology: Quantitative approach, cross-sectional and descriptive design. The population will be made up of 50 nursing professionals from the emergency service who were selected according to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. To measure the factors, the data collection instrument will be used, which is the ILO-WHO work stress scale originally developed by Ivancevich and Matteson, and adapted to Peru by Suarez. It consists of 25 items grouped into 2 dimensions: superiors and resources, organization and work team. The final scores are established based on the percentiles: Above the 50th percentile: high stress level, below the 50th percentile: low stress level. The collected data will be entered into a matrix in the SPSS 25 program and a descriptive analysis will be performed, obtaining final scores and scores by dimensions.

Según la American Nurse Association, que cuenta con más de 4 millones de enfermeras afiliadas, el estrés es uno de los problemas más subestimados pero impactantes que enfrentan las enfermeras. Aparece en muchos aspectos del trabajo y la vida personal de una enfermera. Objetivo: Determinar el nivel estrés laboral en el Enfermería del servicio emergencia de un hospital de Chancay, 2020 Metodología: de enfoque cuantitativo, diseño transversal y descriptivo. la población estará conformada por 50 Enfermería del servicio de emergencia que fueron seleccionados de acuerdo a los criterios de inclusión y exclusión. Para medir los factores se utilizará el instrumento de recolección de datos que es la escala de estrés laboral de la OIT-OMS desarrollada originalmente por Ivancevich y Matteson, y adaptado al Perú por Suarez. consta de 25 ítems agrupados en 2 dimensiones: superiores y recursos, organización y equipo de trabajo. Las puntuaciones finales se establecen en base a los percentiles: Por encima del percentil 50: nivel de estrés alto, por debajo del percentil 50: nivel estrés bajo. Los datos recolectados serán ingresados a una matriz en el programa SPSS 25 y se realizará un análisis descriptivo. obteniendo puntuaciones finales y por dimensiones.
