Eating Habits and Nutritional Status of Venezuelan Migrants from a Mototaxis Transport Company. Lima Fenced, 2022.

Abstract

Objective: To check if there is a relationship between HAs and EN of Venezuelan migrants from a Motorcycle Taxi Transport Company in Lima Cercado, 2022. Material and method: The present study was descriptive, correlational, quantitative, cross-sectional and non-experimental, with a sample of 40 people from 18 to 59 years of age. The following instruments were used: a) A Questionnaire on Eating Habits and b) Nutritional Assessment Tables and Scales. Results: 60% of participants, aged 18 to 59, had inadequate HAs and 40% had adequate HAs. According to BMI, 30% had a normal NE. 35% were overweight, 25% obese and 10% thin. Conclusions: There is a greater proportion (60%) of inadequate HAs in Venezuelan migrants. Only 40% had adequate HAs. The evaluation of NE by BMI revealed that 30% of respondents had a normal NE. 35% were overweight, 25% obese and 10% thin. Overweight and obesity of 60% were due to malnutrition due to excess food intake. Thinness, malnutrition due to defect in food consumption. The difference between overweight and obesity (60%) and normal NE (30%) resided in the inadequate HAs adopted by migrants. There is a direct and significant correlation at the level of 0.01 (Bilateral) between the HAs and the EN of Venezuelan migrants from a Motorcycle Taxi Transport Company in Lima Cercado, 2022.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre nivel de conocimiento y práctica de los estilos de vida saludable en estudiantes de la Escuela Académica Profesional de Nutrición Humana de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener, Lima-Perú, 2022. Metodología: Estudio analítico, hipotético- deductivo con enfoque cuantitativo, tipo no experimental, descriptivo-correlacional, analítico, transversal y prospectivo. Para la recolección de datos se hizo uso de una encuesta por cada variable, ambas de preguntas cerradas. Resultados: Correlación indirecta débil entre nivel de conocimientos y prácticas de estilo vida (r= -0.035; p=0.781). Conclusión: Existe relación negativa débil indirectamente proporcional entre los niveles de conocimientos y las prácticas de estilos de vida saludable en los estudiantes de nutrición de la Universidad Privada Norbert Wiener Lima-Perú, 2022.
