Working conditions and work risks in the staff of the sterilization center of the Lambayeque regional hospital, 2023

Abstract

Introduction: The health system worldwide has revealed various deficiencies that have endangered the integrity of the staff. In hospital care, one of the areas with the greatest exposure to risks is the Sterilization Center, which is the environment responsible for prevention. of infections acquired in the hospital through the disinfection of reusable objects and equipment. Objective: Determine to what extent working conditions are related to occupational risks in the staff of the Sterilization Central of the Regional Hospital of Lambayeque, 2023. Method: Study with a quantitative approach, applied type, non-experimental – transversal design, where used the hypothetical-deductive method; the population will be made up of 50 health personnel (17 nurses and 33 technicians) from the area of the Sterilization Central of the Lambayeque Regional Hospital, who will be selected through various characteristics and specifications; Likewise, the census sample will have the participation of 50 professionals to obtain a representative set of subjects to be analyzed. The NTP 182 self-assessment scale of adapted working conditions and the questionnaire on occupational risks by Jurado (2021) will be used as instruments, both validated by expert judgment and the statistical reliability test of Cronbrach's alpha. The data will be processed using the SPSS v.26 statistical program and the hypotheses will be tested through correlation analysis according to the normality analysis for parametric or non-parametric tests.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre las condiciones de trabajo y los riesgos laborales en el personal de la Central de Esterilización del Hospital Regional de Lambayeque, 2023. Método: Estudio de enfoque cuantitativo, tipo aplicado, diseño no experimental – transversal, donde se empleará el método hipotético – deductivo; la población estará conformada por 50 profesionales de salud (17 enfermeras y 33 técnicos) del área de la Central de Esterilización del Hospital Regional de Lambayeque, los cuales serán seleccionados a través de diversas características y especificaciones; asimismo, la muestra censal contará con la participación de los 50 profesionales para obtener un conjunto representativo de sujetos a analizar. Como instrumentos se utilizarán el cuestionario de condiciones de trabajo de Berrospi y Martínez (2017) y el cuestionario sobre riesgos laborales de Jurado (2021), ambos validados por el juicio de expertos y la prueba estadística de fiabilidad del alfa de Cronbrach. Los datos serán procesados por medio del programa estadístico SPSS v.26 y las hipótesis se comprobarán a través del análisis de correlación según el análisis de normalidad para pruebas paramétricas o no paramétricas.
