It is extremely alarming to note the low importance given to biosecurity standards in hospitals, a situation that puts the professionals who provide their services in health center at risk, those who are constantly exposed to biological hazards due to direct or indirect contact with organic materials when caring for the patient. The objective of this work is: Determine knowledge about biosecurity standards and practices in nurses of the surgical center of a public hospital in the city of Lima, 2023. The methodology used is quantitative, applied, hypothetical deductive, nonexperimental, correlative, cross-sectional. 80 nurses from different surgical wards of the chosen public hospital constituted the population. To carry out this study, the survey was used, in addition to the questionnaire and the checklist created by Borja (2018) as the instrument for both variables, the mimo that was validated by the group of experts who checked its reliability obtaining coefficients of 0.673 of Spearman-Brown. The data will be encoded and exported to Excel for their respective analysis and then to the SPSS version 21 statistical program to finally be processed. As a result, nonparametric inferential statistics were used.
Resumen
El objetivo de este trabajo es: Determinar el conocimiento sobre las normas de bioseguridad y prácticas en enfermeras del centro quirúrgico de un hospital público de la ciudad de Lima, 2023. La metodología empleada es cuantitativa, aplicada, hipotética deductiva, no experimental, correlacional, de corte transversal. 80 enfermeras de distintos pabellones quirúrgicos del hospital público elegido constituyeron la población. Para llevar a cabo este estudio se empleó la encuesta, además del cuestionario y la lista de verificación creada por Borja (2018) como el instrumento para ambas variables, el mimo que fue validado por el grupo de expertos quienes comprobaron su confiabilidad obteniendo coeficientes de 0,673 de Spearman-Brown. Los datos serán codificados y exportados a Excel para su respectivo análisis y luego al programa estadístico SPSS versión 21 para finalmente ser procesados. Como resultado se utilizó el estadístico inferencial no paramétrico
