Level of knowledge of the nursing staff on the aspiration of secretions with an endotracheal tube and its relationship with the practice in intensive care of a hospital in Lima-Peru 2021

Abstract

Objective: To determine the level of knowledge of nursing staff about aspiration of secretions with an endotracheal tube and its relationship with the practice in intensive care of a hospital in Lima, Peru 2021. Materials and methods: Indirect reasoning with a research approach is quantitative, descriptive, simple correlation and transversal since it allows obtaining information about the understanding of nursing staff in the intensive care unit and the daily work of endotracheal aspiration of patients in a hospital in Lima, Peru, therefore, this study is not experimental. It should be noted that the population is made up of 100% of nurses who worked in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Lima, Peru in 2021, with a total of 40 nurses corresponding to the total population under investigation. On the other hand, data collection will be the survey and observation; As a tool, it is a questionnaire (knowledge) and an observation guide (practice), which will be applied to all nurses working in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Lima. Likewise, the tools used were designed and approved based on expert evaluations from the National Institute of Neoplastic Diseases, the School of Nursing and the Education, Research and Training Units. These data are processed in a matrix table of general data and specific data, using the Microsoft Excel software package and the SPSS statistics program. 22.0

Objetivo: Determinar el nivel de conocimiento del personal de enfermería sobre la aspiración de secreciones con tubo endotraqueal y su relación con la practica en cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Lima-Perú 2021 Materiales y métodos: El razonamiento indirecto con enfoque de investigación es cuantitativo, descriptivo, de correlación simple y transversal ya que permite obtener información sobre la comprensión del personal de enfermería en la unidad de cuidados intensivos y el trabajo diario de aspiración endotraqueal de los pacientes de un hospital de Lima, Perú, por ellos, este estudio no es experimental. Cabe resaltar, que la población está conformada por 100% de enfermeros que laboraban en la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Lima, Perú en 2021, con un total de 40 enfermeras correspondientes al total de la población bajo investigación. Por otro lado, la recopilación de datos será la encuesta y observación; como herramienta, es un cuestionario (conocimiento) y una guía de observación (práctica), que será aplicado a todos los enfermeros que trabajan en la unidad de cuidados intensivos de un hospital de Lima. Asimismo, las herramientas utilizadas fueron diseñadas y aprobadas en base a evaluaciones de expertos del Instituto Nacional de Enfermedades Neoplásicas, Escuela de Enfermería y las Unidades de Educación, Investigación y Capacitación. Estos datos se procesan en una tabla de matriz de datos generales y de datos específicos, utilizando el paquete de software Microsoft Excel y el programa de estadísticas SPSS. 22.0
