Quality of life and self-care of the diabetic foot in the elderly, internal medicine service of a public hospital, Lima, 2022

Abstract

Objective: To establish the relationship between quality of life and diabetic foot selfcare in the elderly of the internal medicine service of a public hospital, Lima 2023. Methodology: In this case, the study was quantitatively oriented, with an applied type of study, it will also be based on the correlational level, of a non-experimental type with a cross-section, with a sample of 67 older adults, who were applied two instruments, the first will be the quality-of-life questionnaire designed by Whoqol-Bref and the second the diabetic foot self-care questionnaire developed by Morales. Subsequently, the descriptive analysis and inferences will be carried out using the IBM SPSS version 26.0 program to obtain the tables and graphs, as well as the degree of relationship between the variables studied

Metodología: En este caso el estudio se orientó a lo cuantitativo, con tipo de estudio aplicada, también se apoyará en el nivel correlacional, de tipo no experimental con corte trasversal, con una muestra de 67 adultos mayores, que se le aplicaron dos instrumentos, el primero será el cuestionario de calidad de vida diseñado por Whoqol-Bref y el segundo el cuestionario de autocuidado de pie diabético elaborado por Morales. Posteriormente se procederá a realizar el análisis descriptivo e inferencias mediante el programa IBM SPSS versión 26.0 para obtener las tablas y gráficos, asimismo el grado de relación entre las variables estudiadas.
