Family support and self-care practices in patients with tb, in three health centers in Lima, 2023

Abstract

The purpose of the research was "To determine how family support is related to self-care practices in patients with TB at the three Health Center, 2023"; For this reason, it considers for its development a hypothetical deductive method and a non-experimental design, and since the data will be measured, the approach will be quantitative and of a correlational level; taking as a sample 80 patients who are being treated at the referred health center; To evaluate them, the survey will be used as a technique and as instruments, to measure Family Support, a questionnaire by Elvia Leyva (33) from 2019, which consists of 22 items and 3 dimensions and for the second variable, the self-care agency questionnaire. ASA (Appraisal of selfcare Agency scale) by Isenberg and Evers (1993), adapted by Viriam Leiva et al. (23) in 2015 of 24 items and 5 dimensions, both instruments have validity and reliability by Cronbach's Alpha of 0.945 for Support family and 0.84 for Self-care practices; According to these data, the two instruments have the rigorous criteria to be applied in the study; In the same way, to measure the relationship between the variables, Spearman's Rho coefficient will be used, the means by which it is intended to test the hypotheses, with the results obtained it is intended to respond to the objectives set and provide through the conclusions contributions relevant to the topic presented.

El propósito de la investigación fue “Determinar cómo el apoyo familiar se relaciona con las prácticas de autocuidado en pacientes con TB en tres Centros de Salud, 2023”; por ello considera para su desarrollo un método hipotético deductivo y diseño no experimental, y ya que la data será medida el enfoque será cuantitativo y de nivel correlacional; tomando como muestra a 80 pacientes que vienen siendo atendidos en el centro de salud referido; para evaluarlos se utilizará como técnica la encuesta y como instrumentos, para medir el Apoyo Familiar un cuestionario de Elvia Leyva (24) del 2019, el cual consta de 22 items y 3 dimensiones y para la segunda variable, el cuestionario de la agencia de autocuidado ASA (Appraisal of selfcare Agency scale) de Isenberg y Evers (1993), adaptado por Viriam Leiva y colaboradores (30) en el 2015 de 24 items y 5 dimensiones, ambos instrumentos cuentan con validez y confiabilidad por Alfa de Cronbach de 0,945 para Apoyo familiar y 0,84 para Prácticas de autocuidado; según estos datos los dos instrumentos cuentan con los criterios de rigor para ser aplicados en el estudio; del mismo modo para medir la relación entre las variables, se utilizará el coeficiente Rho de Spearman, medio por el cual se pretende probar las hipótesis con los resultados que se obtengan se pretende dar respuesta a los objetivos planteados y brindar por medio de las conclusiones aportes pertinentes para la temática presentada.
