Conocimiento y cumplimiento de calendario de vacunación en madres con niños menores de 5 años

Abstract

objetivo principal determinar la relación entre conocimiento y el cumplimiento del calendario de vacunación en madres con niños menores de 5 años del centro de salud Mirones Alto en el 2023. La presente investigación aplicó un método cuantitativo con enfoque hipotético-deductivo y con diseño observacional correlacional de corte transversal. La muestra empleada fue de 100 madres participantes con niños menores de 5 años que se atienden en el centro de salud de Mirones a las que se les aplicó el instrumento de la encuesta de 15 preguntas para evaluar los conocimientos y la observación de una lista de cotejo para evaluar la aplicación del calendario de vacunación. Los resultados del estudio presentaron una confiabilidad de Alfa de Cronbach de 0,853 y 0,841 respectivamente. Mientras que en la prueba de Kolmogórov- Smirnov (KS) reportó Sig. 000, P<.05, por lo que se interpreta que la variables y dimensiones no asumen una distribución normal, en consecuencia, se aplicó Rho de Spearman y el estadístico de Kruskal Wallis para comprobar las hipótesis y la relación entre las variables. Los resultados sugieren que las madres con conocimientos altos con respecto a las vacunas también presentan un cumplimiento oportuno del calendario de vacunación de su hijo.

The main objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between knowledge and compliance with the vaccination schedule in mothers with children under 5 years of age at the Mirones Alto health center in 2023. The present research applied a quantitative method with a hypothetical-deductive approach and with crosssectional observational-correlational design. The sample used was 100 participating mothers with children under 5 years of age who are treated at the Mirones health center to whom the 15-question survey instrument was applied to evaluate knowledge and observation of a checklist. to evaluate the application of the vaccination schedule. The results of the study presented a Cronbach's Alpha reliability of 0.853 and 0.841 respectively. While the Kolmogorov-Smirnov (KS) test reported Sig. 000, P<.05, so it is interpreted that the variables and dimensions do not assume a normal distribution, consequently, Spearman's Rho and the statistic were applied. Kruskal Wallis to test the hypotheses and the relationship between the variables. The results suggest that mothers with high knowledge regarding vaccines also show timely compliance with their child's vaccination schedule. Likewise, mothers with low knowledge also demonstrated untimely compliance with the vaccination card. In conclusion, it was demonstrated that there is a significant moderate relationship between knowledge and compliance with the vaccination schedule of mothers with children under 5 years of age who attend the Mirones Alto Health Center.
