Level of knowledge and nursing care about percutaneous catheter in the neonatal intensive care unit of the regional hospital, Arequipa 2023

Abstract

In recent years there has been an increase in premature newborns and with different pathologies that will require specialized care, as well as invasive procedures that will help their survival during their prolonged hospital stay in the neonatal intesive care unit. The percutaneous catheter is an invasive device that will benefit the growth and perfusión of prolonged and irritating treatments that are necessary for its improvement and development. This research project aims to "Determine the relationship between the level of knowledge and nursing care about percutaneous catheter in the neonatal intensive care unit and neonatology service of Hospital Regional, Arequipa 2023. Study with a quantitative approach, non-experimental design, cross-sectional and correlational. In this investigation, a population of 80 neonatal intensive care nurses and the neonatology service will be made up. Two instruments will be used to measure the variables: for the level of theoretical knowledge in percutaneous catheter a questionnaire and for nursing care a procedure guide; after collecting the information, it will be processed using Microsoft Excel and SPSS version 27. The hypothesis will be verified by means of the non-parametric chisquare test, as well as the relationship between the study variables.

En los últimos años se ha incrementado los recién nacidos prematuros y con diferentes patologías que requerirán de cuidados especializados, así como también de procedimientos invasivos que ayudarán a su supervivencia durante su estancia hospitalaria prolongada en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales. El catéter percutáneo es un dispositivo invasivo que beneficiará al crecimiento y a la perfusión de tratamientos prolongados e irritantes que son necesarios para su mejoría y su desarrollo. Este proyecto de investigación tiene como objetivo “determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y cuidado de enfermería sobre catéter percutáneo en la unidad de cuidados intensivos neonatales y servicio de neonatología del Hospital Regional, Arequipa 2023”. Estudio con enfoque cuantitativo, diseño no experimental, corte transversal y correlacional. En esta investigación estará conformada por una población 80 enfermeras de cuidados intensivos neonatales y del servicio de neonatología. Se empleará para medir las variables dos instrumentos: para el nivel de conocimiento teórico en catéter percutáneo un cuestionario y para el cuidado de enfermería una guía procedimiento; después de recolectar la información será procesada mediante Microsoft Excel y SPSS versión 27. La hipótesis se comprobará mediante la prueba no paramétrica de chi cuadrado, asimismo, también la relación entre las variables de estudio
