Healthy lifestyle and nutritional status in older adults at Cristo Rey Nursing Home, Chosica 2021

Abstract

Knowing the lifestyles and the relationship with the nutritional status of an older adult population residing in a shelter will allow the design of strategies that have the purpose of improving preventive-promotional interventions. These strategies may be more efficient because they will be based on scientific information. obtained from the target population. This study will also seek to raise awareness among the general population about the importance of nutritional status and lifestyles in older adults, which is also a protective factor against various pathologies specific to the age group. The methodological value of the research is expressed in the use of valid and reliable research instruments for use in the present study. In addition, the steps of the scientific method will be taken into account to answer the research question posed.

Conocer los estilos de vida y la relación con el estado nutricional de una población adulta mayor residente en un albergue permitirá diseñar estrategias que tengan la finalidad de mejorar las intervenciones preventivo-promocionales, dichas estrategias podrán ser más eficientes debido a que se basarán en información científica obtenida de la población objetivo. Este estudio buscará también concientizar a la población en general sobre la importancia del estado nutricional y los estilos de vida en los adultos mayores, el cual también es un factor protector frente a diversas patologías propias del grupo etario. El valor metodológico de la investigación, está expresado en el uso de instrumentos de investigación válidos y confiables para su uso en el presente estudio. Además, se tomarán en cuenta los pasos del método científico para responder a la pregunta de investigación planteada.
