Level of knowledge about body mechanics and its relationship with the application in emergency nurses (os) of a national hospital

Abstract

Introduction: body mechanics is essential in the daily practice of nursing, thus we would avoid musculoskeletal problems in the future, added to them other problems that would fall directly to the nursing staff, such as the institution where they work (absenteeism, medical breaks and workload overload). Methods: The title of this study is "Level of knowledge and application of body mechanics in emergency nurses at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital of the Social Security of Health (Es Salud), Lima 2023". It was carried out under the quantitative research approach of a study not experimental, simple descriptive cross-sectional. Objective: Its general objective is "To determine how the level of knowledge is related to the application of body mechanics in emergency nurses at the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital of the Social Security of Health (Es Salud). The population was made up of 60 nurses from the emergency service of the HNGAI, since the population is small, the census sample was carried out, where a questionnaire and an observation guide were applied as an instrument, the statistical analysis was carried out with the SPSS program version 26.

Introducción: la mecánica corporal es indispensable en el ejercicio diario de enfermería, así evitaríamos problemas osteomusculares a futuro, sumado a ellos otros problemas que afectan directamente al personal enfermero, como a la institución donde trabaja (el ausentismo laboral, descansos médicos y sobre carga laboral). Métodos: El presente estudio tiene como título” Nivel de conocimiento sobre Mecánica corporal y aplicación en enfermeras(os) emergencistas de un Hospital Nacional¨ Se realizó bajo el enfoque investigativo cuantitativo de estudio no experimental, descriptivo simple de corte transversal. Objetivo: Tiene como objetivo general “Determinar el nivel de conocimiento sobre mecánica corporal se relaciona con la aplicación en enfermeras(os) emergencistas de un hospital nacional del Seguro Social de Salud (Es Salud). La población estuvo conformada por 60 enfermeras del servicio de emergencia del HNGAI, en visto que la población es pequeña se realizó la muestra censal, donde se aplicó como instrumento un cuestionario y una guía de observación, el análisis estadístico se realizó con el programa SPSS versión 26
