Needs of the family members of patients in an intensive care unit of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital, 2020.

Abstract

The population to be taken into account are the relatives of patients admitted to the ICU of the Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen National Hospital. Taking into account the numbers of patients that have been circulating through the ICU in the last three months, it has been planned to have 80 family members participating in the study; each one must meet the selection parameters indicated in this section. Inclusion requirements: -The participant must be a relative of the patient and must be of legal age. -Be a relative of a patient who has been in the ICU of the hospital facility where the study is carried out for at least 24 hours. -Up to two family members per patient can participate. -The family member involved in the study must agree to participate in it by free and voluntary decision, after making the invitation. -The participating family member must give their consent by signing the document that will be provided, after explaining the scope and what it means to be a participant. Any family member who does not meet any of the inclusion requirements will be excluded from the study.

La población a tomarse en cuenta son los familiares de pacientes internados en la UCI del Hospital Nacional Guillermo Almenara Irigoyen. Teniendo en cuenta las cantidades de pacientes que vienen circulando por la UCI en los tres últimos meses, se ha proyectado contar con 80 familiares participantes en el estudio, cada uno debe de cumplir con los parámetros de selección a indicarse en esta sección. Requisitos de inclusión: -El participante debe ser familiar del paciente y debe ser mayor de edad. -Ser familiar de un paciente que haya estado al menos durante 24 horas en la UCI del establecimiento hospitalario donde se realiza el estudio. -Pueden participar hasta dos familiares por paciente. -El familiar involucrado en el estudio debe de aceptar ser partícipe del mismo por decisión libre y voluntaria, luego de hacerle la invitación. -El familiar participante debe de dar su consentimiento a través de la firma del documento que se le facilitará, previa explicación de los alcances y lo que implica ser partícipe del mismo. Cualquier familiar que no cumpla con algunas de los requisitos de inclusión, serán excluidos del estudio.
