Level of knowledge about hpv and its relationship with the preventive attitude against the human papillomavirus in patients attending the Hipolito Unanue National Hospital in El Agustino district, Lima 2023

Abstract

For the development of the current research study, I present the main objective of determining the relationship between the level of knowledge and preventive attitudes against the human papillomavirus in patients who attend the Hipólito Unanue Hospital in the Agustino district, Lima 2023. To achieve this objective, a quantitative approach was applied and a basic type of research was used, based on the hypotheticaldeductive method with a non-experimental design in a complete sample of 80 patients who attend the Hipólito Unanue Hospital. They were given two tools whose purpose was to evaluate the knowledge and prevention attitude variables presented by the respondents. This allowed to find within the results existence (p=<0.05) as well as a Spearman Rho correlation coefficient of .796; it is concluded that there is a positive and significant relationship between the knowledge and preventive attitudes of patients visiting the Hipólito Unanue Hospital in the Agustino district during the year 2023. It is suggested to disseminate the obtained results among the population to promote the relevance of adequate care provided by nursing staff.

Objetivo: Analizar la relación del nivel de conocimiento sobre el vph con la actitud preventiva contra el virus del papiloma humano en los pacientes que acuden al hospital nacional Hipólito Unanue del distrito Agustino, Lima 2023. Material y métodos: El enfoque metodológico utilizado fue cuantitativo, no experimental, transversal y descriptivo. La muestra fueron 80 pacientes del servicio de procits. Se utilizó el instrumento como cuestionario que fue validado por Coronel M. La confiabilidad se sacó mediante Kuder-Richardson donde se obtuvo KR20-R>0.60
