Prevalence of musculoskeletal disorder in the technical staff of the nursing service at the Alberto Barton Thompson hospital -Callao 2020

Abstract

The purpose of this research was to determine the prevalence of musculoskeletal disorder in the technical staff of the nursing service at the Alberto Leopoldo Barton Thompson Hospital, Callao 2020. The methodology used in the study was quantitative, descriptive, cross-sectional and non-experimental design. The sample included 95 technicians from the Alberto Leopoldo Barton Thompson Hospital. The results found show that 70.5% of the technical personnel were between 31 and 45 years old, the predominant sex was female in 82.1% and with respect to work seniority, 55.8% of the technical personnel had more than 5 years. With respect to the area of ​​musculoskeletal disorder, 32.8% of workers report having discomfort at the level of the neck, left shoulder, back at the lumbar and dorsal level, right and left knee, right and left wrist, right calf, right and left foot and hip. 68.4% of the staff stated that they had had these discomforts between 1 and 2 times a week. 49.5% of the staff presented moderate pain. Where it is concluded that the presence of musculoskeletal disorder in nursing staff is of a moderate level with a frequency of 1 to 2 times per week.

La presente investigación tuvo como finalidad determinar la prevalencia del trastorno músculos-esquelético en el personal técnico del servicio de enfermería en el hospital alberto leopoldo barton thompson, Callao 2020. La metodología utilizada en el estudio fue de tipo cuantitativo, descriptivo de corte transversal y de diseño no experimental. La muestra estuvo comprendida por 95 técnicos del Hospital Alberto Leopoldo Barton Thompson. Los resultados encontrados muestran que el 70.5% del personal técnico tuvo entre 31 a 45 años, el sexo que predomino fue femenino en 82.1% y con respecto a la antigüedad laboral el 55.8% del personal técnico tuvieron mayor a 5 años. Con respecto a la zona del trastorno músculo esquelético el 32.8% de los trabajadores refieren presentar molestias a nivel del cuello, hombro izquierdo, espalda a nivel lumbar y dorsal, rodilla derecha e izquierda muñeca derecha e izquierda, pantorrilla derecha, pie derecho e izquierdo y cadera. El 68.4% del personal manifestó haber tenido estas molestias entre 1 a 2 veces por semana. El 49.5% del personal presentó dolor de tipo moderado. En donde se concluye que la presencia del trastorno músculo esquelético en el personal de enfermería es de nivel moderado con una frecuencia de 1 a 2 veces por semana.
