Level of knowledge and its relationship with care practices for preterm newborns in first-time mothers, in a hospital in Lima, 2024

Abstract

The aim of this study is to analyze the relationship between the level of knowledge and preterm newborn care practices in first-time mothers. The work is a quantitative correlational approach with a non-experimental design with a sample of 90 first-time mothers, where their information will be obtained with the survey technique and the application of a questionnaire and an observation guide validated through the judgment of experts and a high reliability higher than 0.8. These instruments will be applied to the study sample with the prior authorization of the institution and the signing of the informed consent, with which valuable information can be obtained from which a database can be obtained that will be designed in the Excel program, for each variable and dimensions, then the database will be statistically processed through the Spss 25.0 program which allows the descriptive analysis with the The use of tables and figures that will be interpreted to present the results, as well as an inferential analysis through Spearman's Rho test.

El objetivo del estudio es, Determinar la relación entre el nivel de conocimiento y las prácticas de cuidado del recién nacido pre termino en madres primerizas. El trabajo es de enfoque cuantitativo correlacional con un diseño no experimental con una muestra de 90 madres primerizas, en donde su información será obtenida con la técnica de la encuesta y la aplicación de un cuestionario y una guia de observación validados a través del juicio de expertos y una confiabilidad alta superior al 0.8. Dichos instrumentos se aplicarán a la muestra de estudio con la previa autorización de la institución y la firma del consentimiento informado, con lo cual se podrá obtener una información valiosa de la cual se podrá obtener una base de datos que será diseñada en el programa Excel, por cada variable y dimensiones, luego la base de datos será procesada estadísticamente mediante el programa Spss 25.0 el cual que permite el análisis descriptivo con el uso de tablas y figuras que serán interpretadas para presentar los resultados, además de un análisis inferencial a través de la prueba Rho de Spearman.
