Work overload and its relationship with the quality of care by nursing staff in the inpatient medical services of a national hospital 2021

Abstract

This research arises through observation, it’s objetive is to analyze the relantionship inthe work overload and it’s relationship with the quality of care by the nursing staff in thehospital services of medicine of a National Hospital. Metrial and methods: This is anon-experimental correlational study, wich will measure the two variables and stablish arelationship and cross-sectional analysis of the data of the varibles collected over a periodof time with the main objective of revealing the properties that allow the evaluation ofthe dimensions in this research. The population is 50 nurses working in thehospitalizacion area in the medicine service. The inclusion criterion is for the personnelof the hospitalization area of the medicine service who will participe with previousconsent, and the exclusion criterion is for those who do not wish to participate in thisresearch work which will be carried out by means of research instrument which in thesrvey in this case for the variables Work overload (16 items), mental workload (15 items),shift work (13 items) and organizational factors (24 items) with dichotomus qualificationand Quality of care with it’s dimensions: humane care, timely care, continuous care andsafe care (5 items each) with polytomous qualification.

Este trabajo de investigación surge mediante la observación, tiene como objetivo analizarla relación en la sobrecarga laboral y su relación con la calidad de atención por el personalde enfermería en los servicios de hospitalización de medicina de un Hospital Nacional,2021. Material y métodos: Es de tipo correlacional no experimental por lo que se medirálas dos variables y se establecerá relación y corte transversal ya que analizará los datosde las variables recopiladas en un periodo de tiempo con el objetivo principal dar aconocer las propiedades que permitan evaluar las dimensiones en este trabajoinvestigativo. Asimismo, en esta investigación se utilizará un tipo correlacional, de cortetransversal.La población es de 50 enfermeras que trabajan en área de hospitalización que seencuentran en el servicio de medicina. El criterio de inclusión es para el personal del áreade hospitalización del servicio de medicina que participaran con previo consentimiento,y criterio de exclusión para los que no desean participar en este trabajo investigativo elcual se llevara a cabo mediante un instrumento investigativo que es la encuesta en estecaso para las variables Sobrecarga Laboral con sus dimensiones: carga física (16 ítems) ,carga mental (15 ítems) , trabajo a turnos (13 ítems) y factores de organización (24 ítems)con calificación dicotómica y Calidad de Atención con sus dimensiones: atenciónhumana, atención oportuna, atención continua y atención segura( 5 ítems cada una) concalificación politómica.
