Work stress and its relationship with the quality of life of the nursing professional in the emergency service of a hospital in Lima, 2024

Abstract

Objective: "Analyze the relationship between work stress and quality of life among nursing professionals in the emergency department of a hospital in Lima, 2024." The study will follow a non-experimental design, applied type, quantitative approach, and correlational level. The sample will consist of 100 nurses. Two questionnaires will be used as instruments: The Nursing Stress Scale and the WHOQOL BREF quality of life scale, which will be administered through surveys. Both instruments have been validated using the KMO test, reporting indices of 0.932 and 0.76, with a significance level of 0.001 through Bartlett's sphericity test (p<0.001 and p<0.000). Reliability indices were reported using Cronbach's alpha: 0.98 for the first scale, and for the second instrument, quality of life reliability for each dimension was as follows: Physical 0.68; Psychological 0.69; Social 0.65; and Environment 0.69. Once all the data are collected, they will be analyzed using the statistical software SPSS v2.5 at both descriptive and inferential levels. For hypothesis testing, Spearman's Rho correlation coefficient will be used. All findings will be reported in figures and tables as appropriate. Additionally, the results will aim to address the study's stated objectives.

Objetivo “Analizar la relación entre estrés laboral y la calidad de vida del profesional del enfermería en el servicio de emergencia de un hospital de Lima, 2024”, como metodología el estudio seguirá un diseño no experimental, tipo aplicada, enfoque cuantitativo y nivel correlacional; la muestra por 100 enfermeras (os), los instrumentos dos cuestionarios, el primero The Nursing Stress Scale y el segundo la escala de calidad de vida WHOQOL BREF, los cuales serán aplicados por medio de la encuesta; los dos instrumentos validados por medio de la prueba KMO reportando índices de 0,932 y 0,76; con un nivel de significancia de 0,001 por medio de la prueba de esfericidad de Bartlett p<0,001 y de p<0,000; su índice de confiabilidad reporto mediante el alfa de Cronbach de 0,98 para la primera escala y para el segundo instrumento Calidad de vida la fiabilidad de cada dimensión fue Física 0,68; psicológica 0,69, social 0,65 y ambiente 0,69; los resultados una vez recolectados en su totalidad serán analizados mediante el software estadístico SPSS v2.5 tanto a nivel descriptivo como inferencial, para este último se tiene previsto realizar la prueba de hipótesis con el coeficiente de correlación Rho de Spearman, todos los resultados hallados serán reportados en figuras y tablas según corresponda, asimismo con los resultados se pretenderá responder los objetivos planteados en el estudio.
