Anxiety about death in the nursing profesional of the Intensive care Unit of the Covid 19 care and Insolation Center Hospital Panamericana Lima 2020.

Abstract

Death anxiety is a basic fear underlying the development and maintenance of numerous psychological conditions among nursing professionals in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Care and Isolation Center, Hospital Villa Panamericana. It is caused by the perception of danger to one’s existence, and will be measured using the Death Anxiety Scale (DAS) by Templer. Objective: To determine death anxiety in nursing professionals in the COVID-19 Intensive Care Unit at the Care and Isolation Center, COVID-19 Hospital Villa Panamericana, Lima-2020. Material and methods: This study is quantitative, descriptive, and cross-sectional. The design is non-experimental, as the variable will not be deliberately manipulated. Data collection will be done through surveys. The main variable will be measured using the Death Anxiety Scale (DAS), which assesses anxiety levels across four categories: low, moderate, moderately high, and high.

La ansiedad ante la muerte es un miedo básico subyacente al desarrollo y mantenimiento de numerosas afecciones psicológicas de los profesionales de enfermería de la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva COVID-19, en el Centro de Atención y Aislamiento Hospital Villa Panamericana, producida por la percepción del peligro a la propia existencia, que serán medidos con la escala de ansiedad ante la muerte o también llamado Death Anxiety Scale” (DAS) de Templer. Objetivo: Determinar la ansiedad ante la muerte en el profesional de enfermería de la Unidad de Terapia Intensiva COVID-19, del Centro de Atención y Aislamiento COVID-19 Hospital Villa Panamericana, Lima-2020. Material y métodos: El presente estudio es de tipo cuantitativo descriptivo, de corte transversal. El diseño es no experimental porque no se manipulará deliberadamente la variable. Para el proceso de recolección de datos se empleará la técnica de encuesta. Para medir la variable principal se utilizará el cuestionario de ansiedad ante la muerte (DAS), el cual mide el nivel de ansiedad en cuatro niveles: Poco, moderado, moderado alto, mucho.
