Prioritization of care according to triage and waiting time of patients in the emergency room at the Sergio E. Bernales hospital, 2022

Abstract

Objective: Determine the relationship between the prioritization of care according to Triage and the waiting time of patients in the emergency room at the Sergio E. Bernales Hospital, 2022. Population: Composed of 700 medical records of patients treated in the emergency unit of the Sergio E. Hospital. Bernales in September and October 2022. Sample: It will be made up of 249 medical records, simple random non-probabilistic sampling will be used. Methodological design: Applied, hypothetical-deductive, quantitative, descriptive and cross-sectional study, correlational retrospective. Instruments: For the evaluation of the variable “Prioritization of care according to triage”, a registration form modified by Alarcón in 2022 will be used, reliable with Cronbach's Alpha obtaining values ​​of 0.77 and for the evaluation of the variable “Time "waiting", a registration form also prepared by Alarcón will be used in 2022, reliable with Cronbach's Alpha 0.77. The technique we will use to collect information is observation. Data processing and analysis: We will use descriptive statistics to prepare frequency tables and graphs, on the other hand, we will apply inferential statistics using Spearman's Rho statistical test that will allow us to verify the hypotheses that we have proposed.

Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre la priorización de la atención según Triaje y el tiempo de espera de pacientes en emergencia del Hospital Sergio E. Bernales, 2022. Población: Compuesta por 700 historias clínicas de pacientes atendidos en la unidad de emergencia del Hospital Sergio E. Bernales en Septiembre y Octubre 2022. Muestra: Estará conformado por 249 historias clínicas, se usará un muestreo no probabilístico aleatorio simple. Diseño metodológico: Estudio aplicado, hipotético-deductivo, cuantitativo, descriptivo y transversal, Retrospectivo correlacional. Instrumentos: Para la evaluación de la variable “Priorización de la atención según triaje”, se usará una ficha de registro modificado por Alarcón en el 2022, confiable con Alpha de Cronbach obteniendo valores de 0,77 y para la evaluación de la variable “Tiempo de espera”, se usará una ficha de registro también elaborada por Alarcón en el 2022, confiable con Alpha de Cronbach 0,77. La técnica que usaremos para recoger la información es observación. Procesamiento y análisis de datos: Usaremos la estadística descriptiva para elaborar de las tablas de frecuencia y gráficos, por otro lado, aplicaremos la estadística inferencial empleando la prueba estadística de Rho de Spearman que nos permitirá realizar la comprobación de las hipótesis que nos hemos planteado.
