Knowledge about self-care and quality of life in outpatient oncology patients at the Arzobispo Loayza National Hospital – 2024

Abstract

Introduction: Knowledge of self-care is very important to be able to carry out an analysis of the quality of life of the cancer patient in order for the patient to acquire self-care skills to be able to participate in activities intended for them and thus enjoy a good quality of life. of life and increase patient survival. Objective: Determine how the level of knowledge of self-care and the quality of life of cancer patients is related. Method: Following the hypothetical-deductive method, under a quantitative approach, an applied research of nonexperimental design, correlational and cross-sectional level will be carried out in a census sample of 137 patients to whom a self-care knowledge questionnaire will be applied that It has proven validity and Kuder Richardson KR-20 = 0.900, in the same way the quality of life will be measured, which has proven validity and Cronbach's Alpha = 0.87. The results will be analyzed using statistical programs such as SPSS 26. The results will be presented and discussed in tables and figures.

Objetivo: Determinar cómo se relaciona el nivel de conocimiento del autocuidado y la calidad de vida de los pacientes oncológicos. Método: Hipotético - deductivo, bajo un enfoque cuantitativo, se realizara una investigación aplicada de diseño no experimental, de nivel correlacional y de corte transversal con una muestra censal de 137 usuarios lo cual se utilizara un interrogatorio de conocimiento del autocuidado que tiene una autenticidad probada y una confiabilidad de Kuder Richardson, donde KR-20 = 0,900, del mismo modo se medirá la calidad de vida que recuento con una autenticidad probada y una confiabilidad de Alpha de Cronbach= 0,87. Los resultados se examinan usando programas estadísticos del SPSS 26. Se mostrará y analizará el desenlace en figuras y tablas.
